Ramsay and Laurier BBQ Fall Off The Bone
From the "That Didn't Last Long" files comes this story of Gordon Ramsay and the Laurier BBQ parting ways. My personal feeling is that the owners probably wanted a big surge in business from having Ramsay's name on the signage and were shocked to find out the truth: people want great food not great celebrities. I am willing to bet there was an initial increase in business but, that it probably fell when the end product didn't live up to the anticipation. Laurier BBQ has been struggling lately and they probably do need a chef who can bring in new clientele but, they probably need that chef to take over the kitchen completely, not just in name.
